It is a landmark initiative launched in May 2020, aimed at accelerating the transformation of the food system to be more sustainable, equitable, and healthful. <\/p>\r\n\r\n <h2>A Quick Background on EU\u2019s Farm-to-Fork Strategy (F2F)<\/h2>\r\n <p>Adopted at the end of 2019, the European Green Deal is a comprehensive set of policy initiatives designed to guide the EU towards a green transition. It outlines a roadmap for making Europe the world\u2019s first climate-neutral continent by 2050, including schemes to enhance resource efficiency, transition to a clean, circular economy, restore biodiversity, and reduce pollution.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p id=\"section2\">As a central component of the European Green Deal, the F2F strategy addresses the entire food supply chain from production to consumption, with the goal of reducing the environmental footprint, promoting biodiversity, and ensuring food security.
